Field: I-84 corridor will be treacherous! Ice! 40 MPH winds! Power outages!
In his latest podcast, meteorologist Brad Field says the storm coming into Connecticut could lead to treacherous conditions, particularly in the I-84 corridor.
In his storm update, Field makes the following points:
- northwest Connecticut should get more snow
- interior Connecticut could be in trouble, if rain falls on the snow with temperatures in the 20’s. That would lead to freezing on contact.
- power outages could occur, especially with 40 MPH winds predicted in the storm’s aftermath.
In his summary, Field also points out clean-up will not be pretty, with sub-zero temperatures predicted, once the storm moves away.
