A wet Saturday night into Sunday will precede high winds that could bring power outages to Connecticut, according to meteorologist Brad Field in his latest podcast.

It looks as if the state will escape any snow from this latest clipper, with cold rain and maybe some isolated areas of ice, Field stated.

In his podcast, co-hosted with Dan Lovallo, Field explained why late Sunday and all day Monday could see prolific winds. He also talked about a weather event for Wednesday, Feb. 27 and why the ingredients exist for a major snowstorm for the first weekend of March.
