The upcoming weekend looks terrific for numerous outdoor activities, including a trip to the beach, but after that the weather goes downhill, according to meteorologist Brad Field. In fact, the following weekend (June 15-16) could be downright unseasonably cool and wet Field says in his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo.

The much-talked about “Greenland block,” which never made an appearance during the winter or early spring, could be rearing its head come mid-June and that could have a major effect on our weather into July. Field sorts it all out in discussing the block and what it all means.

In the podcast, Field and Lovallo also look back at weather data from the month of May and talk about an experimental map that could help weather forecasters.
