Heavy rain, high winds, dense fog and ice are all part of the Christmas Eve into Christmas day forecast for Connecticut and the region, according to meteorologist Brad Field. In his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo, Field provides the time line for the storm, which will bring a wild swing in weather.
The weather will feature heavy rain, dense fog (as our snow pack melts), high winds and temperatures which could touch 60 degrees. Wind gusts could also top 50 MPH. However by Christmas day afternoon, as the cold front sweeps through Connecticut, standing water could turn to ice, impacting travel. Power outages are possible.
Brad outlines it all in his detailed forecast.
