Meteorologist Brad Field says school superintendents across Connecticut will have a tough call on Tuesday’s predicted Nor’easter. In his latest podcast, Field times out the storm’s arrival, and that’s where things could get tricky for the school superintendents, particularly those heading school districts in mid and northern Connecticut.
Timing is everything
Field says timing will be everything in this storm. In other words, officials entrusted with making school cancellation decisions could awaken Tuesday morning and not see the falling of any snow. However, by the time students arrive at school, snow could be falling at a quick clip.
Expect conditions to deteriorate, once students are in class, leading to possible chaos, if there is an early or regular dismissal. In his podcast with Dan Lovallo, Field outlines all of the conditions, plus previews the remainder of the weather week, with apparently more precipitation on the horizon.
