Weather events prelude to big storm? | Ep. 171

A rain storm that could bring with it ice, sleet and some freezing rain to Connecticut on Feb. 22 into Feb. 23 could serve as a prelude to a major, winter storm next week. So says meteorologist Brad Field in his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo.

The storm could bring winter precipitation, including snow to northern New England, according to Field, with the potential of a winter mix in some portions of Connecticut.

Snow showers could cause some issues on Saturday but a weather model shows the potential for a major snowstorm on Monday, Feb. 27 into Tuesday, Feb. 28, Field notes.

Field covers the weather and also examines the weather statistics for February.
