Unsettled weather will usher in the New Year for Connecticut residents, according to meteorologist Brad Field. In his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo. Field says a series of small storms will hit the area between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1 with the possibility of a more significant storm striking the region Jan. 3 into Jan. 4.

By mid-January, some computer models are showing the weather pattern will undergo a major change, including the formation of that infamous Greenland block. That could set Connecticut up for a good old fashion winter, and Field explains why.

Field also looks back at December and the weather-related numbers for the last month of 2020.
