Despite what had been a relatively quite winter with minimal snowstorms, meteorologist Brad Field is sticking by his long-range winter forecast. Winter is almost at the midway point in the calendar with the arrival of Groundhog Day on Sunday, but in his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo, Field says the elements are in place for a February and March that will pack a winter punch.
Field and Lovallo discuss why Field believes winter will still have an impact, even with mild temperatures on the horizon for Feb. 3 and 4. He explains when the weather pattern is expected to turn and what that will mean for Connecticut and the region.
The two also discuss what the weather will be for Sunday’s Super Bowl, while also ducking in their predictions for the big game.
