Snow, sleet and rain for Connecticut

Storm packs punch. Outages possible | Ep. 173

A winter storm, bearing down on Connecticut, packs a punch, according to meteorologist Brad Field. The storm will arrive Friday night, Mar. 3 and extend into Saturday, Mar. 4, according to Field in his podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo.

Although mostly snow is expected in the northern part of the state, it will be a heavy snow. The lower two-thirds of Connecticut should get a combination of snow, sleet and rain. High winds will also be another storm component and that could lead to power outages, Field noted.

After the storm moves through, it will be cold but the ingredients are in place for another winter storm on Tuesday.
