In his latest podcast, meteorologist Brad Field says the storm coming into Connecticut could lead to treacherous conditions, particularly in the I-84 corridor.

In his storm update, Field makes the following points:

  • northwest Connecticut should get more snow
  • interior Connecticut could be in trouble, if rain falls on the snow with temperatures in the 20’s. That would lead to freezing on contact.
  • power outages could occur, especially with 40 MPH winds predicted in the storm’s aftermath.

In his summary, Field also points out clean-up will not be pretty, with sub-zero temperatures predicted, once the storm moves away.
