Connecticut’s excellent stretch of weather will turn the week of April 11, according to meteorologist Brad Field. In his weekly podcast with co-host Dan Lovallo, Field predicts the 10-day stretch of dry weather will give way to a week of cloudy, cool and wet weather. The rain is much needed, Field says.

Temperatures in the state have been averaging above normal over the last few days, and that trend is expected to continue through Saturday, April 10, before the weather takes a turn toward cool and damp. What about the middle of the month, the weather map and jet stream? Field delves into those topics as well, while explaining the prevalence of sea breezes this time of year and why we are prone to April showers in Connecticut.
